TEAM
Lauren Fraser
Senior Physio and Paediatric Physio
Lauren qualified as a physiotherapist in 2004 and has since built a wide-ranging career across both the NHS and private sectors. Her extensive experience includes orthopaedics, rheumatology, trauma, sports injuries, and musculoskeletal physiotherapy for patients of all ages.
Although Lauren spent many years working primarily with adults, her NHS work is now focused on babies, children, and teenagers with a variety of musculoskeletal and congenital conditions. We are extremely fortunate to have her at Active Health Edinburgh, where she brings not only clinical expertise but also a deep understanding of the physical, developmental, and emotional needs of young people.
In the clinic, Lauren continues to enjoy working with adults too, valuing the mix her role provides. She has completed advanced training in acupuncture, Pilates, and Kinesio taping. These skills, combined with her thoughtful clinical reasoning, hands-on techniques, and exercise-based approach, allow her to support clients in moving well, feeling confident, and returning to the activities they love.
Outside of physiotherapy, Lauren discovered her passion for running a little later in life and has since completed several marathons. Time with family and friends is hugely important to her — and if she can persuade them to join her for a run, all the better!
