Blanca Jimenez
Senior Physio
Blanca grew up in Ávila, Spain, a mountainous region near Madrid, and completed her Physiotherapy degree at the Complutense University of Madrid in 2009, followed by a Postgraduate Diploma in Manual Therapy in 2013. Since then, she has continued to deepen her understanding of the body through a wide range of clinical experiences in both Spain and Edinburgh.
Her early career included working with the Spanish National Wrestling Team and at Aspaym, a specialist centre for neurological physiotherapy, where she treated conditions such as multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy, stroke, fibromyalgia and ankylosing spondylitis. After moving to Edinburgh in 2016, Blanca has worked in private practice, where she enjoys the challenges of musculoskeletal rehabilitation and supporting a diverse patient group—from runners and post-surgery patients to gym instructors and office workers.
Blanca’s treatments are always tailored to each individual and may include manual therapy mobilisations, myofascial release, traditional acupuncture and dry needling, taping, 1:1 Pilates, neurodynamics, extracorporeal shockwave therapy, posture correction, gait analysis, and personalised exercise programmes to continue progress at home.
