Craniosacral Therapist
Nicky qualified as a medical doctor in South Africa in 1998 and worked there for 2 years in different fields including Internal Medicine, Paediatrics, Surgery and Obstetrics and Gynaecology. She moved to Scotland in 2001 and has been working as a Psychiatrist in the NHS. Since 2006, Nicky has been working specifically with children and adolescents who have mental health difficulties. Nicky has also done 2 years training in Family/Systemic Therapy. She works part time in the NHS allowing her to have the time to practice Craniosacral Therapy.
Nicky has always been interested in complementary therapies and holistic wellbeing. Craniosacral Therapy fascinated her after having her first session in 2005. “I felt it could access the body as a whole and allow for healing on a deep level.” Nicky completed her two year training at the Karuna Institute in Devon in May 2008. She has also completed various postgraduate courses including working with babies and children. Nicky is interested in working with people of all ages and exploring the benefits of Craniosacral Therapy for physical, emotional, psychological and mental difficulties and for personal growth.
